WATCH: Drug trafficker admits link with PNP officials

A self-confessed drug trafficker has admitted to having ties with one of the five police generals President Rodrigo Duterte said were allegedly involved in illegal drugs. In the report of GMA News’ John Consulta for “24 Oras” on Thursday said that Mark (not his real name) got his supply of illegal drugs from drug leaders detained at the New Bilibid Prison and so-called “ninja cops,” who make money from selling illegal drugs confiscated during police operations. The erring policemen were supposedly acting upon the instructions of the corrupt police general.
“Bawat plastic ng yelo, 100 gramo. Pagbagsak po nun, bibitawan ko na lahat po yun para hindi ako sumabit. Likom ng likom lang po ako ng pera,” Mark said.
Mark also recalled delivering money to the police official’s office in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
“Nang ibinagsak ang pera, naglabasan sila kasi puro alikabok ang pera. Milyon po,” he told GMA News.
The drug trafficker expressed his intention to cooperate with the Duterte administration’s anti-illegal drugs campaign as long as the government will guarantee his safety.
Duterte shocked the nation last week when he named active and retired police generals as suspected protectors of the illegal drug trade.
The officials were retired general Marcelo Garbo and Vicente Loot, who is now on his first term as mayor of Daanbantayan town in Cebu.
The active officials are Chief Superintendents Joel Pagdilao, Bernardo Diaz, and Edgardo Tinio. All of them denied any wrongdoing.
